It may be June, but 30 is taking a flashback to seven months ago in December. He's got his girl's back and reminding her that no matter what is going on in the present it can't be worse than December. He mentions her describing his lines as poetry, and we were especially in touch with that in this symphony. 30 painted their relationship as two people against the world and made it effortless to get wrapped in the story line instantly! We were driven by how he described sadness as either an emotion in itself or something that can be spread. All we know is that chilly winter sadness can be left in December, it's time for some warm, summer bliss!
Lyrics That Stick:
"You say it's poetry and it'll pay off one day hopefully."
