Bazzi - Soul Searching (Album Review)

The superstar that is Bazzi himself just dropped not just a single for our ears, but an entire album! Right from the start we knew this album was going to change our lives... and damn, we were right! He started off the album with 'Humble Beginnings' to set the entire mood and give us a little background of himself and he just sort of dived in from that point on!

'Soul Searching' is the ultimate vibe as far as a Bazzi song goes! That hook is everything we didn't even know we wanted, and the way he hits that beat in the chorus gets our blood pumping! Bazzi brought out some of the greats as far as features go as well, with 21 Savage and 6LACK popping up in 'Focus' and 'Fallin,' these two giving some spice to every song they dip in!

Bazzi took a turn and gave a more gospel, poetic feel in 'Conversations with Myself' and the depth and raw material he added to this song allowed us to relate with him on a personal level. Amongst the brand new, 'Soul Searching' songs we heard he added those familiar pop tunes we already gravitated towards as well. If there's one thing we can say about Bazzi, who he is to us and what we see potentially through this artist, the only thought that comes to mind is... Legend.

Lyrics That Stick:

"My whole life I thought making money and being praise would give me some kind of happiness. And I wanted those things because I was concerned about what everyone else thought of me. I wanted to feel loved, I wanted to feel accepted. And then I realized that I could never feel anybody's pain or their happiness, I could only feel mine."
